St. Thomas Aquinas Legion of Mary

Mary, Queen of Heaven Praesidium

Wednesdays, 9:15 am - 10:30 am

Our St. Thomas Aquinas Praesidium, Mary, Queen of Heaven, was established on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception, December 8, 1999.

The Legion of Mary is a movement of lay people whose purpose is to serve others in their parish and community through Christ and his Blessed Mother Mary. The Legion of Mary is built upon devotion to Mary and bringing Mary to the World. The purpose of this association is to raise the spiritual level of each Member and the entire community through Prayer and Christian Service. On December 8, 2024 our Parish Legion of Mary celebrated its 25th Anniversary of Members providing Prayers and Christian Services to members of our St. Thomas Aquinas Parish and the greater community.

Active Members attend weekly meetings held each Wednesday from 9:15am to 10:30am in the STA parish hall. Each weekly meeting offers members the recitation of the rosary, spiritual reading, a discussion of Catholic doctrine and devotion, and a reporting of the Christian Services program (each Active Member to perform two hours of Christian Service each week). Auxiliary Membership is also available for those who wish to recite the rosary and Legion prayers on a daily basis at home.
