What is Faith Formation?

Faith formation in the Catholic Church is the lifelong process of growing in a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and deepening one's understanding and practice of the Catholic faith.



Unlike traditional classroom religious education or studying for a single test, faith formation shapes the whole person—engaging the mind, heart, and daily actions from birth until death. It is considered a vital part of the Church's ongoing mission to evangelize.
